What the differences mean in practice

The size difference is the decisive one. A 54mm basket physically will not seat in a 58mm portafilter, and no adapter makes it fit — so baskets, tampers, distribution tools and dosing funnels bought for the Breville Barista Express do not carry over to the Breville Oracle. Budget for a second set if you keep both. See portafilter sizes explained.

They use different groupheads (proprietary 54mm on the Breville Barista Express, 58mm on the Breville Oracle), so shower screens and group gaskets are sourced per machine even where a basket happens to be shared. They also differ on basket type: the Breville Barista Express is documented for both baskets and the Breville Oracle for non-pressurized. That difference changes which baskets are usable regardless of diameter — single vs dual wall explains why.

Nothing — the two machines use different portafilter sizes, so no size-keyed part is listed for both.

Listed for the Breville Oracle only (33)

A part appearing under one machine and not the other usually means the maker's documentation names that one model, not that the part has been tested and rejected for the other. We follow the source's own wording, so "not listed" never silently becomes "doesn't fit".
