The Nanoquartz-coated 54mm Breville screen — Ø52mm external, 9mm wall, 7.2mm centre, 200 µm membrane. Dimensionally identical to the BV200IM, so the choice between them is about upkeep, not fit.
Why this one suits a Breville
The 54mm Brevilles are the machines in this database most likely to be run hard and cleaned rarely — a built-in grinder and a one-touch workflow means a lot of shots between proper clean-downs, and the group is compact enough that a dirty screen shows up in the cup quickly.
IMS’s coating is a hydrorepellent quartz layer: water leaves the face as evenly distributed droplets, and oils and fines have nothing to key into. IMS also states plainly that “Our Nanotech coating is FDA-certified and quartz-based”, which is the reassurance most people actually want before putting a coated part in the water path.
If you already backflush this machine on a schedule, the uncoated IM does the same job for less. The coating is for the rest of us.
Breville sits in two IMS series — get the right one
This is the mistake worth avoiding, because the wrong screen simply will not seat. IMS separates its Breville range explicitly: the 54mm groups “found in the Barista Express, Bambino, Pro, and Touch models” take the BV200 series, while “The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler use a 58mm group head” and take the CI200 series — the coated version of which is the CI200NT.
If you are unsure which format you own, check your machine’s page here; every Breville entry records its portafilter diameter from Breville’s own documentation. Or read Breville 54mm vs 58mm.
Which machines are listed, and which aren’t
IMS names four model families — Barista Express, Bambino, Pro and Touch — so those are cross-referenced below, the Bambino Plus included as part of the Bambino family.
Deliberately not listed: the Barista Express Impress, Barista Touch Impress, Duo-Temp Pro and Infuser. All are 54mm machines and very likely take the same screen, but IMS does not name them and we do not extend a manufacturer’s list on our own.
This is a group part — it fits the grouphead, not the portafilter.
Also fits the same machines
Other items confirmed to fit machines this one fits — useful if you're kitting out a single setup. The count is how many of those machines overlap; nothing here is a new fitment claim.

- https://www.imsfiltri.com/shower-screen/BV200NT.html (archived) — Official IMS Filtri product page ('BV200NT SHOWER SCREEN', Competition Line, Nanotech Membrane), read firsthand 2026-08-21. Specs verbatim: 'SKU: BV200NT', 'External Diameter: 52 mm', 'Internal Diameter: 53 mm', 'Wall Height: 9 mm', 'Central Hole: 7.2 mm', 'Passage / Filtration: 200 µm' — identical to the uncoated BV200IM, including the page listing the internal figure as larger than the external (both quoted as printed rather than corrected). Construction verbatim: 'made of a single filtering part in stainless steel obtained through a process of photo-etching … This version features our advanced Nanoquartz coating.'
- https://www.imsfiltri.com/breville-sage-precision-filters-showers.html (archived) — Official IMS Breville/Sage compatibility page, read firsthand 2026-08-11 and re-read 2026-08-21 (unchanged) — the brand-to-series link. States verbatim: 'We offer a dedicated line for 54mm group heads found in the Barista Express, Bambino, Pro, and Touch models. Look for the BV200 series shower screens and our B62...'. The BV200NT is a BV200-series code (SKU prefix BV200, dimensions identical to the BV200IM), so it falls inside the series IMS names for these machines. The same page separates the 58mm Brevilles: 'The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler use a 58mm group head. For these machines, the CI200 series shower screens and B70 precision baskets provide the best fit'. On the coating it states verbatim: 'Our Nanotech coating is FDA-certified and quartz-based.'
- https://www.imsfiltri.com/shower-guide.html (archived) — Official IMS Shower Code Guide, read firsthand 2026-08-10, which maps shower prefixes to brands: 'BV Breville/Sage, Solis'. Also carries IMS's own caveat verbatim: 'The most common products of each manufacturer are compatible as indicated, but there may be models that use different components which may not always fit some models of home espresso machines.'
