About EspressoFit
EspressoFit answers one question well: does this part fit that machine? Portafilter baskets, portafilters, tampers, screens and other espresso parts come in sizes that look interchangeable and often are not — a few millimetres decides whether something seats or sits in a drawer. That answer today is scattered across forum threads, retailer FAQs and contradictory listings. We put it in one structured, sourced place.
Why it exists
Wrong fitment information costs people money and sends good parts back in the post. Most "compatibility" content online is copied between sites without anyone checking a manufacturer's spec. We do the opposite: every entry is traceable to a manufacturer's own source, read firsthand, and carries a visible verification date. Where a spec isn't published, we say so rather than guess.
How it's built
- Sourced & verified. 135 of 143 entries are verified against manufacturer primary sources read firsthand. See how we verify compatibility for the exact rules — and how we handle the cases where a maker doesn't publish a spec.
- Independent. We are not owned by, or paid by, any espresso brand or retailer. Compatibility and verification are never influenced by commerce — see our affiliate disclosure.
- Open to correction. If a manufacturer page contradicts an entry, that page wins. Send it to corrections@espressofit.com and we'll fix and re-cite the entry.
What it is not
EspressoFit is a compatibility reference, not a substitute for your machine's manual, and not a review site — we don't rank machines by taste or tell you what to buy. We tell you what physically fits, and show our work.
