That model name is an IMS product code — series, cup count, height and hole pattern are all encoded in it. IMS basket codes, decoded explains how to read one, and lists every code covered here.
The deepest NanoQuartz B70 at 28mm, rated 20–22 g dark and up to 23 g light — the high-dose end of the coated line.
What the NanoQuartz coating does
The NT suffix is IMS’s Nanoquartz coating — a non-stick quartz treatment on
an otherwise standard B70 basket. Two practical effects: the spent puck releases
cleanly instead of clinging to the walls, and coffee oils do not bake onto the
surface, so the basket stays closer to new with a rinse rather than a scrub.
It is a surface treatment, not a geometry change. Ø70mm border, Ø60mm body,
715 holes, Ø58/58.4mm tamper — the same as the uncoated line. If you want the
same dose without the coating, the plain B70 baskets are the equivalent.
Worth noticing: the NT range’s capacities move far less across roast levels than
the convex E-series does — a couple of grams rather than several. Pick by dose,
and check the code guide if you want to decode the
rest of the suffix.
Same official B70 compatibility as the rest of the series. Gaggia machines take
the narrower B68 series and are deliberately not cross-referenced.
Other items confirmed to fit machines this one fits — useful if you're kitting out a single setup. The count is how many of those machines overlap; nothing here is a new fitment claim.
What size portafilter is the IMS B70 Competition NanoQuartz 2 Cup H28 (B702TFH28NT) for?
It is a 58mm basket, 28mm deep, for 58mm portafilters.
Is the IMS B70 Competition NanoQuartz 2 Cup H28 (B702TFH28NT) pressurized?
No — it is a non-pressurized (single-wall) basket, for freshly ground coffee.
Does the IMS B70 Competition NanoQuartz 2 Cup H28 (B702TFH28NT) fit 54mm machines like the Breville Barista Express?
No. It is a 58mm basket, so it does not fit Breville's 54mm machines or any 54mm portafilter.
Which machines does the IMS B70 Competition NanoQuartz 2 Cup H28 (B702TFH28NT) fit?

Specs verbatim: 'Border: Ø 70 mm', 'Body: Ø 60 mm', 'Height: 28 mm', tamper 'Ø 58/58.4 mm', 'Coating: Nanoquartz', '715 Holes'. The page's NT-series capacity table gives this height as 20/22 gr (dark roasted), 20.5/22.5 gr (medium) and 21/23 gr (light), within a family running B702TFH20NT (20 mm) through B702TFH28NT (28 mm). IMS describes the coating verbatim as 'a specialized non-stick treatment that makes the surface highly resistant' to sticking.
https://www.imsfiltri.com/IMS-competition-Catalogue.pdf(archived) — Official IMS Competition Series catalogue, read firsthand 2026-07-04, whose 'For tamper 58 / 58.4' B70 compatibility list names La Marzocco, Rancilio, Lelit, Rocket, ECM and 'BREVILLE (The Oracle)' among the fitting brands — and 'FLAIR ESPRESSO (58)', which is why the Flair 58 is cross-referenced here; Gaggia is assigned to the narrower B68 series, so B70 baskets do not cross-reference Gaggia machines.
