The 20g-class basket in IMS’s 54mm competition line. At 26mm deep it takes 17–19.5g of a dark roast and 18–21g of a medium — noticeably more than the 14–17g the standard 24mm B62 is rated for, and the natural choice if you have moved past Breville’s stock dosing.
IMS describes the perforation on this one explicitly as “Competition Perforation: Relaminated and Recalibrated” — the recalibration step is what separates the competition line from IMS’s standard baskets, tightening the tolerance on all 583 holes so flow stays even across the puck rather than running fast in patches.
Otherwise the familiar B62 geometry: Ø62.5mm border, Ø54mm internal body, ridgeless, 0.30mm holes over a Ø44mm perforated area, Ø53/53.4mm tamper.
