La Marzocco Advanced Precision Basket (F.3.026–F.3.028)

verified · 24 August 2026

Fits these machines

La Marzocco’s own precision baskets, sold in 7g, 14g, 17g and 21g capacities. The fitment claim is verbatim from La Marzocco — “Fits all La Marzocco portafilters” — which covers the Linea Mini, Linea Micra and GS3 listed here.

Part numbers, and one we won’t state

Three of the four capacities have an unambiguous La Marzocco part number:

Capacity Part number
21g F.3.026
17g F.3.027
14g F.3.028
7g see below

The 7g basket is the exception, and the reason is worth recording. La Marzocco’s page carries two different part numbers for it: the variant’s own purchase data gives F.3.029, while the description shown for that same variant reads “SKU: F.3.053”. The other three agree with themselves in both places; only the 7g disagrees.

We are not going to pick one. Quoting a part number is a claim that you can order that part and receive this basket, and with the manufacturer contradicting itself we have no grounds to say which is right. If you want the 7g, select it by capacity on La Marzocco’s page rather than by ordering a code. If La Marzocco resolves the conflict, this entry will state the number and cite it.

Why this is one entry and not four

Elsewhere on this site the rule is one entry per specific variant — VST gets a page per dose, IMS a page per code. Those splits are justified because the manufacturer publishes something that actually differs: VST prints a height per size, IMS a full spec sheet per code.

La Marzocco publishes no per-size depth, no per-size dimensions and no per-size fitment. The only per-variant figures on the page are the shipping carton’s, and they are identical across all four sizes. Splitting this into four pages would produce four near-identical documents distinguished by a gram figure — the appearance of precision without the substance, which is the thing this database exists not to do.

What this basket does not tell you

No diameter is printed on the product page at all. The 58mm here is inherited from La Marzocco’s Linea Micra page, which states its Home machines take “standard 58mm tampers” — a chain across two of the maker’s own pages, which is why this stays at the manufacturer tier. Depth is simply unpublished; if you need to know how a 17g La Marzocco basket compares in height to a 17g-equivalent IMS B70, that comparison cannot be made from published figures.
