## Specifications

- **Part type:** Puck screen
- **Size standard:** 57 mm
- **Brand:** Normcore

## Fits these machines

- Lelit Anna (PL41TEM) (57mm portafilter) — https://espressofit.com/machines/lelit-anna/

## Notes

A puck screen sits **on top** of the tamped puck, between the coffee and the
shower screen. It spreads the incoming water across the whole bed instead of
letting it drill in wherever the stream happens to land, and it keeps the group
noticeably cleaner because grounds are not pushed up into the screen at the end
of the shot.

This is the **ultra-slim** version at **0.8mm** — thin enough that it costs
almost no headroom in the basket, which matters more on a 57mm machine than on
a deep 58mm prosumer group. 316 stainless steel; Normcore also offers a 0.2mm
(200µm) Titanium PVD variant.

## Sizing, and why 57.5mm

Normcore makes this screen in 49, 51, 53.3, **57.5** and 58.5mm. The screen sits
*inside* the basket, so it is always slightly smaller than the nominal
portafilter figure — 57.5mm is the one Normcore builds for the 57mm format, and
its "57mm Fits Lelit" collection states the products in it are "built to a 57mm
portafilter diameter and fits Lelit 57 Group espresso machines".

That is the [Lelit Anna](/machines/lelit-anna/) here — the only LELIT57 machine
in this database. Do not substitute the 58.5mm screen: the Anna's format is a
different size standard, not a rounding difference. See
[why 58mm isn't one standard](/guides/58mm-is-not-one-standard/).

Pair it with the [57mm IMS B64 basket](/baskets/ims-b64-competition-2-cup/),
the [LELIT57 tamper](/parts/lelit-lelit57-tamper/) and the
[LELIT57 bottomless holder](/parts/lelit-lelit57-bottomless-filterholder/).

Described as helping to 'prevent channeling and ensure a more even and balanced extraction' by distributing water evenly across the puck while keeping the brew head clean. Material '316 Stainless Steel', offered in plain finish or Titanium PVD Coating; thickness options 0.8 mm and 0.2 mm (200 µm, Titanium PVD only). Size variants offered verbatim: 49mm, 51mm, 53.3mm, 57.5mm and 58.5mm — this entry is the 57.5mm variant.

  - Official Normcore collection page '57mm Fits Lelit', read firsthand 2026-08-10 (not archivable, same Shopify CDN block). States verbatim that the products in it are 'built to a 57mm portafilter diameter and fits Lelit 57 Group espresso machines', and lists the Ultra-Slim Puck Screen among them — the statement that ties the 57.5mm variant to Lelit's LELIT57 group.
