## Notes

A puck screen (contact screen) sits on top of the tamped puck to spread water
more evenly and reduce channeling, and keeps the group's shower screen cleaner.
This is the **51mm** size, which Normcore's own guide names for **De'Longhi** —
the 51mm portafilter format used across the Dedica and La Specialista lines.

It does not fit the 54mm Breville/Sage machines (those take the
[53.3mm screen](/parts/normcore-puck-screen-53mm/)) or the 58mm commercial
standard (the [58.5mm screen](/parts/normcore-puck-screen-58mm/)). Puck screens
are one of the few accessories where the 51mm format is well served, since most
aftermarket espresso gear targets 58mm.

It is 316 stainless, 1.7mm thick, in a 150μm mesh (silver) or a finer 100μm mesh
(Black Titanium PVD). Verified against Normcore's official product page on
