## Notes

The shower screen is the perforated disc in the roof of the group. IMS's
**BV200IM** replaces Breville's stock 54mm screen with a photo-etched
**integrated membrane** — one solid piece of stainless steel, perforations
formed inside its thickness, filtering to **200 µm**.

## Why the 54mm Brevilles get their own screen

This is the point most people miss when shopping IMS: **Breville appears in two
different IMS shower series**, and picking the wrong one gets you a part that
does not seat.

IMS separates them explicitly. Its Breville/Sage page states that the 54mm
group heads "found in the Barista Express, Bambino, Pro, and Touch models" take
the **BV200 series**, while "The Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler use a
58mm group head" and take the **CI200 series** instead — see the
[CI200IM](/parts/ims-ci200im-shower-screen-breville-58mm/) entry for those.

So the number on your portafilter is what decides the screen, and Breville
ships both formats. See [why 58mm isn't one standard](/guides/58mm-is-not-one-standard/)
and [Breville 54mm vs 58mm](/guides/breville-54mm-vs-58mm/).

## Which machines are listed, and which aren't

IMS names four model families — Barista Express, Bambino, Pro and Touch — so
those are what is cross-referenced below, including the Bambino Plus as part of
the Bambino family.

**Deliberately not listed:** the Barista Express Impress, Barista Touch Impress,
Duo-Temp Pro and Infuser. They are 54mm machines and very likely take the same
screen, but IMS does not name them and we do not extend a manufacturer's list on
our own. If IMS names them, they will be added.

IMS publishes its own caveat, worth reading before you buy: "The most common
products of each manufacturer are compatible as indicated, but there may be
models that use different components which may not always fit some models of
home espresso machines."

This is a **group part** — it fits the grouphead, not the portafilter — so it is
keyed by group rather than by portafilter size.

(The page lists the internal figure as larger than the external; both are quoted here as printed rather than corrected.)
