## Notes

The shower-head seal (group gasket) on Breville's 54mm machines is the silicone
ring that seals the portafilter and shower screen against the group under brew
pressure. Like any group gasket it is a **wear part**: as it hardens with heat
and use, the portafilter starts to sit loose or the group weeps mid-shot, and
you can no longer get a full lock — the sign it needs replacing. Breville's own
part is SP0025526.

Because it seals the group rather than the portafilter body, it is keyed to
Breville's 54mm grouphead, not to a portafilter size standard — so it is
cross-referenced by machine and not listed on the 54mm size hub. Breville's
page states only "selected Breville Espresso Machines"; all of Breville's 54mm
home machines (the Barista Express, Pro and Touch families, the Bambino line,
Duo Temp Pro and Infuser) use this group and seal. It does not fit Breville's
58mm machines, which use a different group. Verified against Breville's
official part page on 2026-07-13.
