## Notes

This entry covers the 18g size specifically — VST sells 7g through 25g baskets
and each capacity has a different depth (the 18g is 24.0mm per VST's own size
table), so a single entry cannot honestly describe the whole range. The 18g was
chosen because per VST it fits most La Marzocco and Rancilio standard
portafilters without the bottomless-portafilter caveat VST applies to sizes
above 18g. Verified against the official VST store page on 2026-07-04.

## There is no 54mm VST basket

Worth stating plainly, because it is the most common question asked about this
brand. VST builds for 58mm only, and rules the smaller formats out in its own
words: **"VST Filters DO NOT fit 49, 53 or 54mm portafilters."** So there is
nothing here for a Breville Barista Express, a Bambino or any other
[54mm machine](/standards/54mm/) — not a different VST size, nothing at all.

On a 54mm machine the equivalent precision line is IMS's B62.5 series, which
IMS names for those models directly. See
