## Notes

The **shallower** of IMS's two 57mm competition baskets — 19.5mm, against the
[22mm](/baskets/ims-b64-competition-2-cup/). IMS rates it 11.5–13.5 g for a dark
roast and up to 17.5 g for a light one, which makes it the **lower-dose** choice
for a [Lelit Anna](/machines/lelit-anna/).

The B64 family is only two baskets deep:

| Code | Height | Dark | Medium | Light |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| **B642TH19.5N** | 19.5mm | 11.5/13.5 g | 12.5/14.5 g | 15/17.5 g |
| [B642TH22N](/baskets/ims-b64-competition-2-cup/) | 22mm | 13.5/15.5 g | 14.5/16.5 g | 17/19.5 g |

Worth noting how far roast level moves it: the same basket takes **six grams
more** of a light roast than a dark one. If you switch between roast styles, the
19.5mm covers a genuinely useful range on its own.

## Geometry, and the N pattern

Ø64mm border, **Ø58mm internal body**, ridgeless, for a Ø57mm tamper — and 349
holes in IMS's **M pattern** over a Ø44mm perforated area, described as
"Relaminated and Recalibrated". The recalibration step is what separates the
competition line from IMS's standard baskets: it tightens the tolerance across
every hole so flow stays even rather than running fast in patches.

Note the border figure. At Ø64mm this is a **different series** from the Ø70mm
B70 baskets used by 58mm machines — which is precisely why a "58mm" basket will
not seat in an Anna regardless of what a listing claims. See
[why 58mm isn't one standard](/guides/58mm-is-not-one-standard/).

Pair it with the [LELIT57 tamper](/parts/lelit-lelit57-tamper/), the
[LELIT57 bottomless holder](/parts/lelit-lelit57-bottomless-filterholder/) or a
[57.5mm puck screen](/parts/normcore-ultra-slim-puck-screen-57-5mm/).
