## Notes

The **26mm** Nanotech-coated 54mm basket — 17–19.5 g for a dark roast, up to
20.5 g for a light one. This is a high-dose basket by 54mm standards, and worth
a check against your machine before you buy.

## Check your headroom first

54mm groups have less space above the puck than commercial 58mm groups do. A
26mm basket carrying 19 g builds a tall bed, and on some 54mm machines the wet
puck can end up touching the shower screen — which is not damaging, but it does
mean you are past the dose the machine was designed around. If you have not
already pushed past ~17 g comfortably in the

instead.

## What the coating does

The Nanotech quartz surface is described by IMS as 'Anti-adherent, easy to clean,
antibacterial' — the puck releases without leaving a skin, and oils do not
polymerise onto the wall. It is purely a surface treatment: IMS lists the coated
and uncoated versions on one capacity row, `B62.52TH26E/NT`, so dose behaviour is
identical to the plain E basket.

Geometry is the standard B62.5: Ø62.5mm border, Ø54mm body, ridgeless, 583
hexagonal holes of 0.30mm over a Ø44mm perforated area, with the narrowing at the
base that IMS uses to keep the puck compact at the bottom.
